Characterisation under real conditions

Photovoltaic module characterisation benches in real conditions have been developed by the GeePs since 2010. They allow (i) the improvement of photo-electric models for more accurate production prediction, sizing and diagnosis, (ii) the optimisation of PV modules in real operation, (iii) the study of conditions with second-order effects (spectral effects, mismatch, wind speed, for example).

The benches installed at GeePs are dedicated to encapsulated cells and low power modules.

The benches installed at SIRTA are adapted to accommodate high-power modules.

Other monitoring benches also allow data to be recovered.

All these benches are open to research collaborations.
